A lifelong love for French, and a passion for helping others discover it.
Bonjour! I'm Rhea, a French tutor based in Dubai. I work with students of all ages — from young children discovering the language for the first time to adults and children preparing for DELF exams. My teaching is always tailored to the individual. Whether your child follows the IB, IGCSE, A Levels, or any another school curriculum, every lesson is structured around exactly what they need to understand, not a generic syllabus. I focus on building clarity in the coursework and real confidence in using the language.
I provide private classes and with small groups that approach me for a specific goal so that every learner receives genuine attention and consistent support. Sessions are warm, focused, and purposeful, and parents often notice not just improved grades, but a shift in how their child feels about French altogether.
This is not a tutoring center. It is a personal partnership built on trust, consistency, and progress.
Results
Be it school children, college goers, French beginners, adults or DELF students, exam each of my students have gone on to achieve strong results in their exams and have been using it regularly for their professional and personal goals. But beyond grades, what I hear most from parents is that their child's relationship with French changed — from something they avoided to something they felt capable of. That shift matters to me as much as the score. In addition to that, what is more impactful is that they start thinking in French and get very comfortable when they see questions or essays that they must independently write, this is proof of my application oriented learning.
My Methodology
I come from a background in psychology, instructional design and learning development, which means I think carefully about how people actually retain a language, not just how it gets taught in a classroom. Every lesson has a clear structure: we revisit what was covered, build on it meaningfully, and always end with something the student can use immediately. Nothing is taught in isolation. Grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and writing are woven together so the language starts to feel like a whole, not a checklist.
A Personal Note
I believe this kind of learning needs space to make mistakes, ask questions, and move at a pace that actually works and that's why I constantly try my best to understand the child's/adult's pace, comfort, and fears before diving into teaching directly. When a student feels safe in a lesson, they learn better. That has always been my experience, and it shapes everything about how I teach.
